The Day the FAB MAG came

THE DAY THE FAB MAG CAME...

Here is a little tale (a very little tale) about... the day the very FAB MAG aka Fabulous Magazine (actual name, no silly voice necessary) YES the UK no 1 selling fashion supplement came to us at The Little Vintage Beauty Parlour as a set for their Mothers Day fashion photo shoot!
Rewind 3 months and it's a Wednesday evening, i'm sitting with Mo (my crazy, lovely, mad bat Nana) eating cheese straws, flicking through emails and generally putting the world to rights when my eye stumbled across an introductory email asking if The Little Vintage Beauty Parlour's, authentic, mid-century room set was available to hire - Ohhhhhhhhhh!

Our 1950s and 1960s room set is really popular with photographers but this was a TOP SECRET PROJECT

So the date was agreed, the price was set and the deal sealed. On the day of the shoot the FAB MAG van arrived - not too inconspicuous

Mark, the cheery delivery man set to work unloading cases, boxes, props, equipment and clothes for the shoot. Where would all the equipment go?

Rails of clothes were set up ready for the styling team, this was a SS2015 collection shoot for Matalan and Peacocks - EXCITING

The four page spread was realised for the Mothers Day Special Fashion spread in March 2015. VOILA - we think the results were FAB (no pun intended).

JOHN HOFFMAN PHOTOGRAPHY Portfolio Shoot

Our very own award winning stylist, Miss Whitley-Belle attended a portfolio shoot with the prestigious John Hoffman Photography whom specializes in head shoots and actors portfolios from his Nottingham based studio.

www.johnhoffmanphotography.co.uk

It's an exciting time of year as we want with all our fingers, toes and legs crossed to hear if our very own Miss Whitley-Belle has been nominated for a prestigious National Vintage Awards: Vintage Grooming & Styling Award. As great preparation for the Oscarsesque award ceremony for the UK Vintage Glitterati are under way, The Little Vintage Beauty Parlour team asked John Hoffman Photography Miss Whitley-Belle decided to get "Camera Ready" here's a sneak preview of some of the results and we think they look FAB!

Here is what the wonderful John of John Hoffman Photography had to say about working with Miss Whitley Belle:

"I recently had the great pleasure of working with the delightful Miss Whitley Belle from Nottingham's finest - The Little Vintage Beauty Parlour.
Miss Whitley Belle has been twice nominated for the National Vintage Awards for Styling and Grooming. Her passion, knowledge and skill for Vintage Beauty styling makes the Little Vintage Beauty Parlour the place to go in the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire region for an authentic vintage beauty experience.
Miss Whitley Belle visited our Nottingham City Centre Studio (we are located upstairs from the Parlour so not too far) for a quick photoshoot in between clients - it was a busy day so we had to work quickly.
As you will see from the couple of images here, not only is this woman THE go-to person for that authentic vintage experience - she is rather beautiful.
There will be more images as soon as Miss Whitley Belle gets the time to drop by again.
So, when you and the women in your life want to treat yourselves to that "special something", then get down to the Little Vintage Beauty Parlour, ask for Miss Whitley Belle, tell her you want the good stuff, and don't forget to mention that John sent you!"
